ARTEX- ME406 Black ELT MILITARY
As a single-output ELT, the Artex ME406 Black utilizes the same RF output to transmit 121.5 and 406 MHz emergency signals to the Cospas/Sarsat satellites. The ELT automatically activates during a crash and transmits a continuous swept tone of 121.5 MHz. During activation, the 406 MHz transmitter sends an encoded 5-watt signal every 50 seconds for 440 milliseconds to alert Search and Rescue.
ARTEX- C406-N
The Artex C406N series ELT is a single output ELT that incorporates latitude/longitude information from the aircraft navigation system. All 3 emergency frequencies (121.5/243.0 and 406 MHz) utilize the same RF output, which requires only 1 coax cable to connect to the new series of Artex single input antennas. The ELT automatically activates during a crash and transmits the standard swept tone on 121.5 and 243.0 MHz. Every 50 seconds for 520 milliseconds (long message protocol), the 406 MHz transmitter turns on and transmits an encoded digital message to the Cospas/Sarsat satellite system.
ARTEX- C406_1-2 Series
The Artex C406-1 series transmits on all 3 emergency frequencies (121.5/243.0 and 406 MHz). The ELT automatically activates during a crash and transmits the standard swept tone on 121.5 and 243.0 MHz. It also transmits a 406 MHz encoded digital message to the Cospas/Sarsat satellite system, which allows for rapid identification and reduces Search and Rescue response time.
